Freeway Insurance – Auto Insurance in Springfield, Missouri

The worst insurance broker, bait and switch practices. I purchased an auto policy with them, after a week later Assurance America and freeway sent me a notice my insurance would increase an additional 175.00 more per month. They claimed I lapsed with my previous carrier for 1 day ! Prior to my insurance purchase with them I submitted proof I was covered for 1 year, this is standard when a new insurance company requests a minimum of 6 months of continuous coverage, I called both companies to adjust my original rate back but I was told I had no choice but to accept the new rate, OUTRAGEOUS ! I was only covered for the 1st month, during this fiasco I decided to go with Nationwide insurance previous policyholder years ago and purchase a new policy with them, mind you, I still had double coverage, after all of the issues I had with Freeway and ASSurance America I cancelled that policy. Don't fall victim to this scam, avoid these people at all cost ! One last note, it's been two plus months with Nationwide insurance and my rates have not gone up, they have my original proof I was covered as previously stated, with my old insurance company SafeAuto, I was with them for about 4 years with no lapse in coverage.
