Farmers Insurance – Bob Brake – Auto Insurance in Gunnison, Colorado

Let me start by saying I'm on disability and a fixed income. I went into Farmers Insurance and acquired the nessasary SR22 insurance to reinstate my license. When I went to reinstate my license I was told that I still owed money and could not reinstate it at which point I went back to the insurance agency whichis about a block away and asked if I should continue paying my SR22 insurance in order to get the 36 months that I had to pay for it out of the way. I was informed that I should. You would think people who do this for a living and give people SR22 insurance on a daily basis would know things like you have a to be a reinstated license holder in order for the SR22 insurance to count towards the DMV and there 36 months requirement of having it. I had no idea myself which is why I asked them and as "professionals" I trusted what they said. none of the money I paid Counted towards paying off my SR22 insurance. I paid roughly 77 a month with one month being 113 and the following months being 88 as rates went up pulled from my account every month. at the end right before I found out that this money was not going to count towards anything I had paid just under 1,000. I called multiple people and every person I called told me to call someone else and then that person would tell me to call the same person back. this is a 16 billion dollar company and little old me with two kids on disability was basically told that I had to eat the loss, that I was not going to be reimbursed, and that they did not care. I feel taken advantage of and I feel as if they have no idea what they are doing over there. Never in my life will I ever recommend this company to anyone. At this point I've basically given up on getting my license back, such is life I guess.
